Tentukan himpunan penyelesaian dari cos 2x = cos 80° , 0° ≤ x ≤ 360°!

Pembahasan:

cos 2x = cos 80°  sehingga kita peroleh:

1)    2x = 80° + k . 360°

     x = 40° + k . 180°

     k = 0 → x = 40° + 0 . 180° = 40°

     k = 1 → x = 40° + 1 . 180° = 220°

     k = 2 → x = 40° + 2 . 180° = 400° (TM)

2)    2x = -80° + k . 360°

     x = -40 + k . 180°

     k = 1 → x = -40° + 1 . 180° = 140°

     k = 2 → x = -40° + 2 . 180° = 320°

     k = 3 → x = -40° + 3 . 180° = 500° (TM)

Jadi himpunan penyelesaiannya adalah {40°, 140°, 220°, 320°}
