Koordinat titik potong Grafik fungsi f(x) = x2 + 2x – 8 terhadap sumbu Y adalah ....

    A.   (0, 4)

    B.    (0, 8)

    C.    (-4, 0)

    D.   (2, 0)

    E.    (2, -4)

Jawab:

f(x) = x2 + 2x – 8

untuk titik potong pada sumbu-Y, maka x = 0;

y = f(0) 

   = 02 + 2. 0 – 8

   = 0 + 0 – 8

y = 8

Jadi titik potong pada sumbu Y adalah (0, 8)
