Tentukan nilai:

a.     P(X ≤ 5)

b.     P(3 ≤ X ≤ 7)

Jawab:

a.     P(X ≤ 5)

      = P(X = 1) + P(X = 2) + P(X = 3) + P(X = 4) + P(X = 5)

      = 1/15 + 1/10 + 1/5 + 2/15 + 2/15

      = 2/30 + 3/30 + 6/30 + 4/30 + 4/30

      = 19/30

b.     P(3 ≤ X ≤ 7)

      = P(X = 3) + P(X = 4) + P(X = 5) + P(X = 6) + P(X = 7)

      = 1/5 + 2/15 + 2/15 + 1/5 + 1/10 + 1/15

       = 6/30 + 4/30 + 4/30 + 6/30 + 3/30

       = 23/30
