Diketahui f(x) = x4 + x3 - 2x2 + 3x - 1 dan g(x) = x3 - 2x2 - x + 3. Tentukan: a. f(x) + g(x) b. f(x) - g(x) c. f(x) × g(x)

Diketahui f(x) = x⁴ + x³ - 2x² + 3x - 1 dan g(x) = x³ - 2x² - x + 3. Tentukan:

a. f(x) + g(x)

b. f(x) - g(x)

c. f(x) × g(x)

Jawab:

f(x) = x⁴ + x³ – 2x² + 3x – 1

g(x) = x³ – 2x² – x + 3

a. f(x) + g(x)

    = (x⁴ + x³ – 2x² + 3x – 1) + (x³ – 2x² – x + 3)

    = x⁴ + 2x³– 4x² + 2x + 2

b. f(x) - g(x)

    = (x⁴ + x³ – 2x² + 3x – 1) – (x³ – 2x² – x + 3)

    = x⁴ + 4x – 4

c. f(x) × g(x)

    = (x⁴ + x³ – 2x² + 3x – 1) × (x³ – 2x² – x + 3)

    = x⁷ + x⁶ – 2x⁵ + 3x⁴ – x³ – 2x⁶ – 2x⁵ + 4x⁴ - 6x³ + 2x² - x⁵ - x⁴ + 2x³ - 3x² + x + 3x⁴ + 3x³ – 6x² + 9x – 3

    = x⁷ – x⁶ – 5x⁵ + 9x⁴ – 2x³ - 7x² + 10x – 3
